It’s time to start planning for graduation! Seniors should order their graduation items from Herff Jones by December 20, 2026, to take advantage of Early Bird Savings!

🚨 PARADE! 🚨
The parade will line up and begin/end at Piketon High School starting at 5:30 PM!
Each class in grades 9–12 may have ONE parade-worthy entry. What counts as parade-worthy? Think trucks, cars, floats, flatbeds, tractors, three-wheelers, horse trailers, lawnmowers—anything that belongs in a parade!
🌴 The theme: Jungle and/or Redstreaks vs. Huntsmen! Be creative and decorate accordingly!
The parade will be led by the Piketon Police Department, Piketon Fire Department, and the Rockin’ Redstreaks Band! ❤️⚡️
💡🏈 A GAME UNDER THE LIGHTS!
Following the parade, the Powder Puff Game will begin at approximately 7:00 PM!
🥫 Admission:
Bring a canned food item and donate to the Student Council as we combine the evening with a community food drive!
🍿 The Rockin’ Redstreaks concession stand will also be open!

Picture Day is just two weeks away! We know families often have a few questions, so here are some quick answers to help everyone prepare.
❓Do I need to order pictures before Picture Day?
No. One of the benefits of our partnership with JostensPIX is that families can view their student's photos before making a purchase. Ordering takes place after Picture Day, and prints are shipped directly to your home.
👕 What should my student wear?
Students should arrive dressed for their school picture. These photos will be used for student IDs, the yearbook, and school records.
💡 Picture Day Tip: JostensPIX recommends avoiding solid green clothing, if possible, for the best photo results.
📷 Does every student have their picture taken?
Yes. Every student will be photographed for student IDs, the yearbook, and school records—even if you do not plan to purchase picture packages.
🔄 What if my student is absent or would like a retake?
Retake Day is Monday, September 21.

If your child is not picked up by a bus in the morning, that bus cannot take your child home in the afternoon. Students who live on these roads will not be counted absent.
The Scioto Valley Local Board of Education will meet in special session on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 5:00pm to review candidates for the board vacancy.
